Belonging to or derived from the Vedas, which are the oldest scriptures of Hinduism. This includes their rituals, language, deities, philosophies, and worldview. It represents the spiritual and intellectual roots of Hindu civilization.
It is thought that the Vedas were composed roughly 1500 BCE to 500 BCE, beginning with the arrival of Indo-Aryans and the oral composition of the Rigveda, and ending with the emergence of early Hindu philosophies (Upanishads).
